Child
abuse is not something we like to admit happens. But it does, every
day.
In Tulsa County alone,
the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) investigates and
assesses approximately 540 child abuse cases each month.
The number of cases reported is shocking. The number of cases we never hear about is unimaginable.
Even more painful is the
fact that funding and space constraints limit us to help only the
most severe cases. Unfortunately, the Child Abuse Network is able
to respond to only about one-third of the cases reported each month.
The good news?
You can help CAN stop the hurt and begin the healing.
