To increase public awareness of child abuse, the Child Abuse Network (CAN) offers numerous programs and activities to educate the community about the causes, signs and ways to help end the violence.

• Awareness programs about CAN, the Justice Center, and general child abuse topics
• Training programs for professionals who work with children (for example, school and day care personnel)
• Prevention programs for children and families

You can help us by sponsoring or scheduling a public awareness program or even participating in a program as a Community Education Volunteer. Awareness programs may be scheduled at a community location or at the Justice Center. We find that many people are not aware of CAN and appreciate a first-hand look at the place where children are brought when abuse happens.
