Capital Campaign Launched to Serve Additional Tulsa Area Children
Oklahoma’s youngest, most vulnerable children suffer more trauma, including child abuse and severe neglect than those in any other state in the nation. It is for these children that the Child Abuse Network (CAN) exists. Since CAN’s founding in 1986, the organization has served more than 40,000 children in Tulsa, and since 2015, has exceeded the facility’s original service capacity by more than 150% every month.
In response to the growing need for the organization’s collaborative intervention services, the Child Abuse Network has launched a capital campaign to construct a facility with a vision toward creating healthy outcomes for children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. The campaign reimagines the entire CAN campus at 28th and Sheridan, provides for exciting new partner collaborations and ensures the organization has the physical resources needed to serve the single most vulnerable and valuable community in Tulsa: our children.
