Taylor Neal with Taylor Neal’s Produce

7-Year-Old Raising Awareness for CAN

Feature Article by Margo Woodward

Taylor Neal is a candid and courageous 7-year-old who isn’t letting her age get in the way. Taylor is the vice president of Taylor Neal’s Produce where she is selling produce to friends and neighbors, as well as acquiring partnerships with local restaurants such as Juniper and 624 Kitchen & Catering.

She works closely with her dad, who brings the produce home every day from the farm. Taylor, along with her younger brother, Max, prepare the produce for retail by bagging and boxing. When describing the process, she said, “it’s pretty easy.” Her favorite part of the process is helping and earning money.

Fresh produce can currently be bought from the Neal’s home where they rely on the DIY honor system. Customers complete a purchase envelope, select their items, and then drop their envelope in a locked box. Top sellers are romaine and butternut lettuce.

Taylor Neal’s Produce will be donating 100% of their 2015 proceeds to the Child Abuse Network. For more information please visit www.sage.farm or Sage Farms on Facebook.
